I was introduced by pratsie to a very cute little style of writing fiction. It is called ‘The American Sandwich‘.
Basically, you are to write a story made up of 3 American sentences. One American sentence is of 17 syllable. The trick is to use as less words as possible.
Here is my try:
Deceitful words, with utter insincerity, blared loudly through out the country.
Oaths indulged in, without compunction, to be forgotten within weeks;
Democracy thou art cuckolded by polity and election, thy brazen bride
Also written for : 3WW [ prompted words are italicised ]
Hiya, nice try, I can see what you’re trying to do, and the content is fine, just a little bit over, on the syllable count, on the first and third line.
Thanks for having a go.
Thank you for dropping by 🙂
I did check the syllable count it is 17 all through.
